In English class, we just read a book about a runt that become a hero. The book is called ‘Pigs Might Fly’ by Dick King-Smith. The story is about a pig runt who has a forefeet like a dog and he can swim! He’s a hero because he saved the whole farm from the terrible flood.
We learn that a hero can be a small person like the runt. Being a hero has to be brave, risk takers, helpful, caring to each other, face any challenged that come, an independent person, understand people well and being tough. We have discuss as a class that those are the things that make someone a hero.
In my life, I consider my mom as my hero. I think she’s a hero because she is a very caring and helpful person, she help poor people/ people who are needed help, she help her friends and family to solve any problems that they have. She is a good friend because she understand people easily and that is why many people including me share their story with her. I am really happy and thankful that I’ve given a mom like her. And that is why my mom is a hero for me.
