In drama, we learned about ritual and we did a project about it. Here is my reflection about this unit.
In Drama we learned about ritual and we work in groups to make a new ritual. I am pretty happy with the progress that my group made from before up to now because we actually finish our ritual and we just have to make some parts more powerful and practice more so we know exactly what are we suppose to do in our ritual.
Last lesson, we perform part of our ritual and we have some feedback from friends and teachers. They said that some part of my ritual is not really dramatic and powerful and so my group have to fix it. We really need feedback because without people giving us feedback, we can’t improve our ritual and we will never know what we did well and what we did not well.
In drama class, we are learning about ritual. We put into groups and we need to make our own rituals. I think my group has the slowest progress than the other groups because we kind of argue a lot in our discussion. M group members are Catherine, Millen, Nicholas, Rivaldo, Ander and me. I hope that our project will end up well.
In drama, we learn about ritual and movement. In a movement, there are:
Directions (6):
- Forwards
- Backwards
- Side to side
- Rise
- Fall
Quality of movement:
- Direct (moving with purpose)
- Indirect (moving around without any purpose)
- Weight – light and heavy
- Levels – low, medium and high
- Speed – fast and slow
Choreography:
- Patterns
- Sequence
- Shadowing
- Canon
- Mirror
