Most of you have probably heard this term being used around school.

Most of us now use many different forms of social network I want you to think about how you use them and discuss whether you are using them for the right reasons. Please answer the following questions and post them as a comment to this post.

1. What is Social Networking?

2. List social networking sites you use.

3. Do you use your blog effectively? How has it benefited your education?

4. How could you use your blog more effectively?

5. Finally are programs like facebook and twitter useful or are they just a waste of time?

Click on the above link and read the article about Social Networks vs Community.

Afterward, write down as many forms of social networks as you can (many are listed in the article, but there are so many more you can think of). After that, do a compare and contrast between the different forms (“this one is mainly for ______, but this one is designed to ______, etc”).

Finally, relate both Facebook and Twitter to the ITGS Triangle and post about it on your blog (remember, you need to relate it to all three strands, and as many topics within the strands as you can).
