Welcome to Humanities 8!
Humanities is the study of the human condition(how we act socially, personally and culturally) . My goal as your humanities teacher this year is to guide you to find answers to the human condition in the present, and the past. I hope to open you up to new ways of thinking, become more compassionate individuals by learn to analyzing, criticize and making judgments based on prior and new knowledge.
Our four main topics in Humanities 8 are:

This documentary is about environment of the world. The movie show what is the problems in the world with environment. some problems are the people is increase so it happened global warming and the ice is melting,cutting down the forest(deforestation),dirty water,dirty air(pollution).
Natural resources are things we get from the Earth. Oil,many things use oil like cars,airplanes,boat. Woods,many things make with woods like house,paper,furniture Water,we need water to live to cook,wash,grow food to eat.
Only the women are woking.
Farmers getting more money for their product.
global interactions, the whole world sharing ideas and working together (globalization)
Sustainable development (ability to make the natural resources long time)
This documentary is about our earth which we live in. This movie shows that the world has many things on it. Therefore there is a major different problems on this earth like global warming, pollution, deforestation, oil spills, poverty, refugees and others. This kind of problems will lead to a harmful earth.
